I love whitewater canoeing as a once a 4 year TV spectacle and I think it looks great in this photo and I think itl'l be a useful and pleasing addition to the Lee Valley Regional Park. One or 2 "artificial landscapes" like this are aestheti...cally pleasing pieces of landscape architecture; if there were only 1 or 2 golf courses I'd feel the same about them. However where you have to pump the water up to the top of a white water course, like here, they are environmentally disappointing. In this respect the pre-existing courses at Nottongham, fed by a fall in flood prevention defences for the Trent, & Middlesborough, fed by the tide, are better. I need to be in there creating some spectacular piece of street art based on a world map flags on the planet concept.
